What are the ingredients in the custom lipstick, balm, and gloss?

How long is a Lip Lab appointment?

Lip Lab appointment times vary and depend the number of guests included your reservation, the type of custom service you choose and the number of items each guest creates.

Custom lipstick: This experience can take up to 1 hour for 2 people and up to 2 hours for 6 people.

Custom butter balm: This service type typically takes half as much time as a custom lipstick experience.

Can I reschedule my Lip Lab appointment?

Yes, please see your confirmation email to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Can’t find it? Reach out to customer service customerservice@liplab.com.

Can I add or remove guests to my reservation?

If you’d like to add or remove guests, please reach out to customer service and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Does everyone have to a make a lipstick?

Seating is reserved based off the number of guests in your appointment reservation. Everyone in your reservation must create a custom lipstick or butter balm.

What if you’re visiting with someone who doesn’t want to make a custom lipstick?

If you are visiting with someone who does not want to customize a lip color, we cannot guarantee a seat for them. However, they are still welcome to hang out and consult you on your shade!

Do you have a grace period if I am running late to my appointment?

We understand things happen. We offer a 10 minute grace period and will try to accommodate after that period if we have availability.

Will I be making my own lipstick? Do I mix the lipstick myself?

Crafting your custom lip color is a science. All custom Lip Lab products are physically mixed, poured and manufactured for you by technically trained Color Experts. You’ll provide the inspiration and creative direction and we’ll make sure to bring that vision to life.

Can I reorder my lipstick?

Yes! We keep your formula on file and you are able to reorder your custom shade(s) here.

What payments do you take?

Lip Lab accepts all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Lip Lab gift cards. If you’d like to pay ahead of your appointment, you can do so by using a gift card.

Can Lip Lab match a discontinued lipstick?

Absolutely! The only thing we can’t match (for now) are shades with shimmer, glitter or frost. For a more accurate match, we recommend bring your discontinued shade to your appointment with you or mailing it to the store.

Can I put shimmer or glitter in my lipstick or butter balm?

For now, no shimmer or glitter. Stay tuned.

Does Lip Lab have an age limit?

Lip Lab is for everyone of all ages!

Can I order someone else's lipstick?

Saw a shade you loved on social? Order here and include the details (i.e. influencer handle, shade name, etc.)

When will my order arrive? What do I do if I haven’t received a status update?

After your place an order on our website, you will receive an order confirmation email. Once your order is processed (typically between 5-7 days) it will be shipped out and you should receive an email with your shipping confirmation and tracking information.

Occasionally we experience shipping delays with our mail carriers. If you have not received your order within 14 days, please reach out to customer service and we will do everything in our power to make sure you get your order.

What do I do if I have a complaint about my experience?

Does Lip Lab accept coupon codes from 3rd parties?

While we don’t accept coupons or deals from 3rd party websites or social channels, we do offer discount codes created by Lip Lab for our customers to enjoy. Sign up for emails to ensure you don’t miss out!
